From 13 August a festive weekend in Garda which will culminate on Monday 15 August, when the historic “Palio delle Contrade” will take place, the most significant festival of an ancient fishing community.
In Verona the Teodorico Summer Fest
Environmental sustainability, cinema, music and landscape. This is the perfect mix proposed by the Teodorico Summer Fest, three evenings with free admission, scheduled from 14 to 16 August on the terrace of Castel San Pietro. A rich calendar of appointments that will entertain citizens and tourists, with the proposal of six film titles linked to the world of music.
Festival of San Rocco
From 13 August a calendar full of events and sporting events for the awaited return of the Sagra di San Rocco, the traditional festival of Albaredo d’Adige that involves the territory of the lower Verona area, ending on 23 August 2022 with fireworks on the ’embankment of the Adige, a fireworks display unique of its kind and also invited by the municipalities and neighboring provinces
Feast of the Cyclamen in Fumane
From 13 to 15 August the traditional village festival will be held with live music and typical dishes. The Festa del Ciclamino in Fumane has reached its 35th edition this year.
Great Purple Santa Feast
The historic Festa Grande Santa Viola kicks off from 13 August in Grezzana, with a rich program of shows and concerts not to be missed. There are also many culinary delicacies that can be tasted during all days of the event until 22 August.
Castelvero beer festival
The Castelvero Beer Festival is back, the most awaited event in the upper Val d’Alpone with a rich program of events from 12 to 15 August in Castelvero di Vestenanova.
Mid-August in love with food trucks
Mid-August in Love with Food Trucks is scheduled in San Zeno di Montagna from 12 to 15 August 2022 on the occasion of the Lago di Garda in Love event.

Verona Arena Opera Festival
Three great events for the lyrical weekend at the Verona arena:
Mauro Ottolini in concert in Valeggio sul Mincio
Appointment at the Elliotherapy Colonies of Valeggio on Friday 12 August. The concert pays homage to various artists of the national music scene from Buscaglione, Carosone, Modugno, Kramer, Trio Lescano, Natalino Otto, Fatima Robins and many others. At the end of the concert, a tasting of tortellini will be offered, accompanied by the white wine of Custoza.
Henry Carpaneto at the Malcesine Blues Festival
The music of Henry Carpaneto is back at the Malcesine Blues Festival. On August 13 in the town overlooking Lake Garda, an unmissable event for lovers of blues and black music with the Italian-American sounds of the Ligurian pianist who presents himself with his most special guest Organ Trio.

Back to Momix
In Verona from 6 to 18 August 2022 the Roman Theater hosts “Back to Momix”, a show born from the desire to return to the stage after difficult years that have distanced the company from its audience, with the desire for lightness and carefree, particularity of the Momix company, and a look that is always aimed at the future: hence the play on words of the title that recalls a classic of 80s cinema.
Theater in the Courtyards
The historical review “Theater in the Courtyards”, from 1 July to 7 September 2022, brings on stage about twenty companies that will alternate in three locations: the traditional Cloister of Sant’Eufemia, the Cloister of Santa Maria in Organo and Cortile Montanari . In all, 23 different shows will be presented, from comedy to prose in music, from dramatic to comic.
Theater Festival at the Mura
Double appointment dedicated to the theater for Friday 12 August, at 6 pm and in rerun at the Palco Erriquez in San Bernardino, the “Recita of Messer Apuliese and his Jullari of some passages of the Comedy, present the author Messer Alighieri” , a short humorous comedy about Dante as seen through Shakespeare’s eyes.
Within the Bastioni in Scena review, organized at the Teatro dell’Orecchione del Bastione di San Zeno by Teatro Scientifico, also on Friday 12 August, at 9.15 pm, the show “Le Bronte”, by Teatro Scientifico – Theama Teatro.
Duparùn
From 3 to 15 August the show “Duparùn” is staged at the Cloister of Santa Maria in Organo, an original reinterpretation of a classic by Carlo Goldoni, “Il Servitore di due Padroni”. The story is known, our modern Arlecchino, named Gianni, driven by the need to survive, accepts two jobs hiding the cheat from his bosses.
CINEMA

Caroto and the arts between Mantegna and Veronese
From 13 May to 2 October 2022 in Verona, in the monumental spaces of the Palazzo della Gran Guardia, the great exhibition on Giovan Francesco Caroto (circa 1480 – 1555) can be visited. It is the first exhibition entirely dedicated to the artist, with over 100 works from some of the most prestigious Italian and international collections, which presents the evolution of the great painter, following him from his early beginnings to the recognized role of artist.
The lichenological collections: from Abramo Massalongo to today

I Milan, the city seen by the police, through the eye of a photographer
From July 28 to August 16, 2022, the exhibition entitled “Io Milano, the city seen by the police, through the eye of a photographer” will be held inside the Gran Guardia building in Verona. by the photographer Carlo Mari. The photographic review is composed of the most significant shots that the photographer collected during the confinement during which he had the opportunity to portray the deserted city of Milan thanks to the very close collaboration with the Carabinieri.
The Arche Scaligere in Verona: admission for only 1 euro

Banksy’s journey to the stations of Italy stops in Verona until October 30, 2022 with the exhibition “The World of Banksy – The Immersive Experience”. The colors found. The restoration of the frescoes of Palazzo Miniscalchi
In Verona at the Miniscalchi-Erizzo Museum Foundation the exhibition “The rediscovered colors. The restoration of the frescoes of Palazzo Miniscalchi”. The exhibition, scheduled from 14 April to 1 September 2022, offers a fascinating account of the origins and family history of the Miniscalchi-Erizzo family, from their arrival in Verona to the rapid social rise witnessed and promised1 celebrated through the construction of the Palazzo Miniscalchi and the peculiar facade decorated with refined frescoes.
In Verona the National Archaeological Museum
The National Archaeological Museum of Verona has inaugurated the section dedicated to Prehistory and Protohistory, from the Paleolithic to the Bronze Age, 200,000 years of history of the Verona area. The museum is open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. 200 thousand years of history kept in the new National Archaeological Museum of Verona which sees the displacement, with other treasures, of the “Shaman”, perhaps the oldest human figure in the world.
“Passions and visions” at the Gallery of Modern Art in Verona
The story of the birth of the Achille Forti Gallery of Modern Art told in a new exhibition itinerary of over 150 works. This is how the passion for art and the far-sighted vision of Ugo Zannoni, Achille Forti, Licisco Magagnato and Giorgio Cortenova, four fundamental characters for GAM and its identity, are presented to the public in a special exhibition curated by Francesca Rossi. and Patrizia Nuzzo.
Ancient vases at the Archaeological Museum
The charm of the Etruscan bucchero on display at the Archaeological Museum at the Roman Theater. Open to the public, in the room dedicated to temporary exhibitions, the new exhibition on “Ancient vases”, curated by Margherita Bolla, which dedicates a special focus to Etruscan ceramics. One, open until 2 October 2022, a section that presents some of the most evocative pieces of the collection of pre-Roman ceramics, about eighty vases from the seventh to the fourth century BC, which make up a part of the rich collection of the Archaeological Museum, not normally on display to the public.
