Swiss chocolate manufacturer Lindt decided to leave the Russian market
Advertising chocolate manufacturer Lindt & Sprüngli Group announcedthat he decided to leave the Russian market. It is expected that in Russia the reduction of business will be ensured in accordance with the laws. What exactly is meant, the company is not taken into account in the statement.

More than 1,000 foreign companies have left Russia or are largely responsible for their activities in the country since the launch of Russia’s “special military operation”* in Ukraine, counted Yale School of Management. Some companies have sold their Russian private enterprises or franchisees (like McDonald’s), others have transferred business top managers of former Russian representative offices (like L’Occitane).
In 2019, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) abandoned Lindt, as well as the Persil and Ariel brands, due to the fact that, according to the service, the products sold in Russia differed in quality and composition from those sold abroad. In August 2021, the FAS reported that it found no evidence of detection of Lindt chocolate sold in Russia from European samples.
At the end of 2021, Russia ranked tenth in the world ranking of chocolate exporters, ahead of Switzerland, according to the Association of Confectionery Industry Enterprises (ASCOND). From September 2020 to September 2021, $838.5 million was identified.
