“Somos Portugal” by TVI was in Castro Marim as part of the honorary parties N. Sra. of the martyrs

From the 12th to the 15th of August, Castro Marim was celebrating, in the celebrations in honor of the patron saint, Nossa Senhora dos Mártires. The highlight was the procession on the 15th of August.
As celebrations started on Friday, with the unprecedented Youth Party, which brought together more than 200 people in the Glow Run Party, animated by BLACP, Possessive and Gustavo Vera. On the 13th of August, with the amphitheater of the Ravelin of St. António crowded, two groups from the Municipality of Castro Marim performed with “É Disto qu’a minha Maria Gosto” by CCD Castro Marim, the dance show by Love to Dance Arutla, and for the Club by teacher Laura Pook Recreativo Alvo.
On August 14th, the party had the Somos Portugal team, from TVI, live from Praça 1º de Maio, in a program that can be seen revisited at www.tviplayer.iol.pt. At the same time, the Handicraft and Ethnography Fair was held, with artisans of different arts and talents, from tinwork, basketwork, bobbin lace, not forgetting the gastronomy. With special emphasis on the participation of the reporter and João Valentim from Castromarino, the Sunday afternoon was animated by many names of Portuguese popular music. The stage, on the same night, the Em Grupo +2 and the Mini Break, already known from “Somos Portugal”.
The day of tribute to the patron saint, August 15th, began with the Raising of the Flag in the Town Hall, at 9:00 am. This was also the day of the 4th edition of the futsal tournament in honor of Nelson Solá, a posthumous tribute to the former player. The Procession in Honor of Our Lady. Streets of the village, hailed by Máru from the truths of the street of the devotees.
The concert by fado singer Sara Correia, closed this edition of the Festas em Honor de N. Sra. dos Mártires, which was organized by the Municipality of Castro Marim and the Parish of São Tiago and was supported by local clubs and associations.
