Be careful if you have recently purchased pancakes with fresh milk 10 pieces in Aldi stores in Luxemburg (other operators are not excluded): these are recalled for a possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
According to a press release from the Grand Duchy’s government commission for quality, fraud and food safety, the products concerned bear the following barcode: 27065174.
From gastroenteritis to neurological symptoms
According to the authorities, the Listeria monocytogenes “may cause fever, headache and gastroenteritis”.
Vulnerable people such as immunocompromised and elderly people and young children may have neurological symptoms due to meningitis. Pregnant women should also be especially alert to these symptoms. Gastroenteritis can appear between a few hours and three days after consumption, while neurological symptoms can only appear after 3 months.
If you have ingested the affected products and are presented with the mentioned mentioned, you are invited to see a doctor specifying this consumption.
