At Tempelhofer Damm and at the Rudolf-Wissell-Bridge: Several traffic jams on the Berlin city motorway A100 – Berlin
There were several traffic jams on the Berlin A100 city motorway on Tuesday due to accidents.
As the traffic information center (VIZ) Berlin announced on Twitter, the A100 towards Neukölln was blocked at Tempelhofer Damm from Tuesday afternoon.
According to the VIZ, at least one lane was released again shortly after 4 p.m. in the direction of Neukölln. According to media reports, oil had leaked from a truck in the morning and the motorway had to be closed for the cleaning work.
Even in the evening, only one lane was passable due to the cleaning work at Tempelhofer Damm. According to VIZ, the Alboinstrasse entrance was reopened around 7:45 p.m.
The journey time on the A100 in the direction of Neukölln increased by 35 minutes in the evening, and in the meantime it had taken up to 80 minutes longer. The entire area surrounding the motorway was also affected by traffic jams in the afternoon.
According to the VIZ, there were also restrictions on the A100 at the level of the Rudolf Wissell Bridge. Accordingly, the lane towards Wedding was narrowed to one lane due to an accident between Spandauer Damm and Rudolf-Wissell-Bridge. The travel time is increased by 40 minutes.
