Locked in overheated car: two dogs died
Hanover. Two dogs have died in Altwarmbüchen in the Hanover region after their owner abandoned them in an overheated car. A Doberman was killed in the vehicle parked in a shopping center parking lot. Despite medical treatment, a Chihuahua bitch later died, reports the “Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung” (HAZ). “It was my fault,” the 66-year-old told the newspaper on Monday.

Police said in a press release that a passer-by noticed the dogs in the car on Friday afternoon and called 911. The officers then arrived at the car at the same time as the owner. This representation contradicts the 66-year-old: They only left the animals in the cooled car for around ten minutes and went to a pharmacy.
After her return, she opened the car and noticed that something was wrong with her dogs. Both dogs were in the trunk, the Doberman was already dead. She then asked the passer-by to call for help, the 66-year-old said. That you are accused of going shopping in peace is “an infamous lie”.
