The Berlin fire brigade and other emergency services moved out to a larger operation at the Friedrichstrasse station on Monday. A S-Bahn was due to a technical defect in front of the stop. As a result, several people complained about circulatory problems.
According to a railway spokeswoman, the broken-down S-Bahn remained in front of the station due to a technical fault. A total of three trains had to be evacuated.
The fire brigade initially spoke of a “mass incident of injuries”, several people had circulatory problems. At the time of the incident, it was very hot in Berlin.
The federal police announced in the evening that together with the fire brigade they had evacuated all 350 travelers from the “affected trains” via the tracks to the Friedrichstrasse station. Two people needed medical attention at the scene, but did not need to be hospitalized.

According to information from the railway and the federal police, some passengers managed to get off the S-Bahn on the open route and get on the tracks towards the station before the evacuation operation. That is illegal and dangerous.
