Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation to adjust the parameters of the national project “International Cooperation and Export” – Moscow |
Moscow. August 15. Interfax – The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade is adjusting the parameters of the International Cooperation and Export national project, which is expected to increase the volume of non-resource non-energy exports (NOE) from Russia to 70% of the 2020 figure by 2030.
“Of course, there will be adjustments in the national project. We will now consider the definition of a passport on the horizon until 2030. The weather target values only appeared until 2024. Less than 70% compared to the forecast for 2020.
“We understand that packages that restrict Russian exporters appear further, and we do not have false expectations about mutual understanding with the structures of “unfriendly countries” in the short term. Today we are actively rebuilding logistics chains, including along such routes as Russia – Turkey, Russia – China, “North-South”.
At the end of 2021, NOE from the Russian Federation amounted to $193 billion, an increase of 37% compared to 2020 ($141 billion), according to the Russian Export Center (REC). The largest share of NOE fell on metal products (25.6%), chemical goods (19.6%), mechanical engineering (19.1%) and food (17.7%). The main destinations were NOE in 2021 for Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkey and the USA.
At the end of 2022, positive NOE dynamics are expected, the REC announced in January. According to the center, over 5 months, exports from the Russian Federation increased by 1.5 times, while “Russian non-commodity non-energy exports also show good dynamics, although there is a drop in some industries due to disruption of supply chains.”
