In Genoa the first edition of the Biennale Arte e Ambiente
Until September 15, in Genoa it is possible to visit the first edition of BIOFILIA, the Biennale Arte e Ambiente, a project that brings together the beauty of nature and the inspiration of artists and photographers to remember the importance of safeguarding the planet.
Art and the environment, an increasingly important combination for the protection of the planet. Against the climatic catastrophe, the beauty of nature and his poetry opens a brand new, unprecedented scenario and becomes a source of inspiration for great artists, photographers, filmmakers.
Along these lines BIOFILIA – Biennial of Art and Environmentis destined to make the Ligurian capital a protagonist in the context of the most important challenge of our times, the one that sees mankind committed to saving the earth.
Genoathe city of Colomboof the Lanternof the Baroqueof great poetry and pesto, therefore it will be at the forefront with a great event dedicated to art and the environment and with actions that will not stop at the urban context but which will look to far more ambitious goals.
From 15 July to 15 September 2022 Genoa hosts Biofilia, the first biennial dedicated to the encounter between art and the environment, a project that transforms the city into an open-air museum involving multiple locations including Villa Croce, Porto Antico and the palaces of the historic center. An exclusive setting, in an extraordinary setting for an event.
L’UN 2030 agenda with its 17 sustainable development goals, it expresses a clear judgment on the unsustainability of the current development model, not only on the environmental level, but also on the economic and social one.
Along the lines of the 17 UN objectives, Biophilia represents an in-depth study on issues concerning the environment, the earth, eco-sustainable development, through photographic exhibitions, art installations, meetings, shows, workshops and specific conferences. The deep union between art and environment is a suitable combination of combining the strength of aesthetics and communication with the most urgent environmental issues, making them accessible to a wide range of audiences.
The first edition of Biofilia is dedicated to the marine environment with 5 photography exhibitions in historic buildings, 7 thematic meetings dedicated to the sea, land and eco-sustainable development, “site specific” contemporary art installations inside the park of Villa Croce and al Old Portworkshops for children and students and the delivery of the Biophilia award to the best project for the protection of marine waters.
An experience to be lived, meeting in Genoa.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Goethe Institut Genoa you can participate in numerous film and documentary screenings and participate in a thematic workshop dedicated to environmental problems.
