Foot OM – OM: Payet refuses the armband, storm in Marseille
OM conceded the draw this Sunday (1-1) on the lawn of Stade Brestois in Ligue 1. Once again, Dimitri Payet was replaced.
Since his arrival this summer in Marseille from Hellas Verona, Igor Tudor is far from unanimous. If his profile is not the most attractive for OM fans, it is above all his manners that are debating. Whether with Bamba Dieng or with Dimitri Payet, the Croatian is perplexing. Indeed, the Senegalese is pushed towards the exit despite good performances last season. Regarding the former Lille, he started the new Ligue 1 season on the bench. Surprising given the importance of Payet in the OM locker room, he who is the captain. Moreover, in recent hours, disgruntled fans have been the author of a scathing message against Tudor. On one of the walls of the Commandery, the message: “Igor Tudor get out” was written.

Before this Sunday evening’s meeting in Brest and OM, Tudor justified himself on his choice to put Payet on the bench at the microphone of First video : “There are other important players on the bench. I am a lucky coach since I have a large bench. But that does not mean that some will not play the next game.. Words that did not convince many people, especially given the Marseille performance in Brittany. During this match, Payet came in during the game. But the Reunionese seemed upset. According to information from The Team, he even refused to recover the captain’s armband when Valentin Rongier left. A clear message was therefore sent back from Dimitri Payet.
Choose not wishful for the French international, the fact that Tudor counts on the same dynamic in the coming weeks. Saturday against FC Nantes, Payet should therefore still start on the bench. What add a little more oil to the fire in Marseille, while a boiling end of transfer window is preparing.
