Club chief discusses Everton and Wolves’ £10m target
French outlet Homme Du Match cited Strasbourg sporting coordinator Kader Mangane says the Ligue 1 side are open to a possible sale for Everton and Wolves are targeting Ludovic Ajorque this summer.
Ajorque, 28, has impressed in his four years at Strasbourg – scoring 50 goals in 140 appearances for the French top-flight side. But the French great has now entered the final two years of his contract with the Ligue 1 side.
It presents the last possible opportunity for Strasbourg to bring home the top prize for their star striker. Everton are reportedly interested in Ajorque, while Wolves saw a £10m offer rejected to bring the experienced striker to Molineux.
Nothing has moved in terms of another offer for Ajorque since reports of a rejected offer. But Mangane is now questioned about the future of the Strasbourg striker. He says the club are ready to sell him this summer.
“We are open to a departure from Ludo. But at some point, the question of timing may arise. We can’t keep waiting like this until the end of August. At some point we will have to take a tough stance,” Mangane said.

Although Ajorque doesn’t jump off the page in terms of age, stature or record, he is a decent option. Standing at 6ft 5in, he offers different options. Along with his 50 goals in 140 games, he also had 19 assists.
He has the ability to be selfless and get others to play. Both Wolves and Everton have plenty of attacking midfielders. Daniel Podence, Pedro Neto and Morgan Gibbs-White at Wolves.
Everton have the likes of Anthony Gordon, Dele Alli, Dwight McNeil and more. Having a striker like Ajorque brings these players into the game. While £10million was rejected, a slightly improved offer could tempt Strasbourg.
