What you need to know about L’Ormeau station:
Located at the crossroads of avenues Jean Rieux, Saint-Exupéry and route de Revel, this station will be part of a district mostly residential, presenting a commercial centrality on the peaceful abalone square.
The arrival of the metro in this district is supposed to calm road traffic on this saturated penetrating artery in the east of Toulouse. It should also benefit patients and employees of clinics Saint-Exupéry and Saint-Jean-du-Languedoc, which will be ten minutes on foot.
In terms of attendance, the Ormeau should see passing, according to Tisséo’s projections, 10,500 travelers maximum per day, barely less than its two neighbors, Côte Pavée (10,600) and Limayrac – Cité de l’Espace (11,400), which places this resort in the upper range of the 3e attendance line.

While this district is currently served by the Lineo 7 de Tisséo, dependent on the municipality of Saint-Orens-de-Gameville in downtown Toulouse, the community plans in its project “to requalify the place de l’Ormeau, in order to reserve more space for pedestrians, cycles, ‘provide better visibility of businesses, facilities and services and improve the safety and comfort of access to the metro’.
Without detailing the system, Tisséo indicates that “connections between the metro and other modes will be optimized (buses, bicycles, drop-off and pick-up space, etc.)” and that “particular attention will be paid to the local parking offer at the level of the square, in order to guarantee the proper functioning of shops while preserving existing activities (open market, future events, etc.).
