Non-players donate too
It’s about the German Cancer Aid. 40 golfers from the Hanover, Isernhagen and Rethmar clubs donate whatever they think is appropriate to the donation pot. This has been the case for more than two centuries. Dagmar Koller takes care of that with tireless commitment and right from the start. Tournament fees, green fees and donations from athletes who don’t play at all go to cancer aid in full, says Koller. The club has transferred a total of 287,000 euros in this way since 2000. In good years, 80 players came onto the field and 4500 euros per tournament cashed in. The donation result for 2022 will only be known in a few days.
