Reigning vice-champions of France, the players of Monaco Rugby Sevens are having a thunderous start to the season this Saturday in Perpignan.

On the occasion of the first of the three qualifying tournaments for the grand final of the In Extenso Supersevens championship, in November in Paris, the Monegasques proved intractable lap after lap.

In the semi-final, the Pallois made short work of Aviron Bayonnais (40-12), despite having beaten the reigning French champions, the Barbarians, in the previous round.

A victory this Saturday in Perpignan could already qualify Monaco for the 8-team final on November 19 in Paris. National holiday.
