Ligue 2. Les notes de Girondins de Bordeaux
A clean aerial exit to enter the match (15th) and then nothing until half-time except to watch a volley from Sagna flee his left post (21st) and especially a cross from Boutobba not to be taken over by the two Niortais in his 5.50 m (45th + 1). A clean aerial exit to enter the match (15th) and then nothing until half-time except to watch a volley from Sagna flee his left post (21st) and especially a cross from Boutobba not to be taken over by the two Niortais in his 5.50 m (45th + 1). Well present from the resumption to block his angle at close range against Boutobba, he came very close to disaster by completely missing the ball on a clearance. But he did not doubt, flying away on a curling shot from Boutobba (70th).
Malcom Ekobe 5/10
He is taken behind his back and in power by Sagna who signs the first chance of the match. He recovered afterwards, trying to carry the danger in attack. Like the young Bordeaux class, it still has its limits, but it hangs on.
Stian Gregersen6/10
He’s not here to knit lace. The athletic and aerial asset of the Bordeaux defence, an “old-fashioned” stopper, whose stature is reassuring. No risk on the raise (except on this shift for Bokele, 6th). Be careful, in Ligue 2, his slowness remains a handicap that he will not always be able to compensate for with his bravery.
Junior Mwamba 6/10
A good save from the head (14th) on a hot cross from Sagna and still present to stop Merdji in the box. With Gregersen marking the opposing forward, he was more in a release position. Well placed, he defended, no frills. Big potential. To be continued.
Johaneko Louis-Jean 6/10
For his first tenure of the season in the absence of Ekomié with a knee injury, the young left-back showed some drive. A first energetic tackle (3rd) to enter the match, a good shift for Delaurier in front of him (12th). He did not hesitate to go up to his left lane. Taken by Boutobba on the big Niortaise opportunity in the 45th minute, he continued back and forth on his side.
Tom Lacoux 5/10
As usual, he swept the field in front of the defense, improved a lot and directed his young teammates but he played little forward. A sin of gluttony before half-time at the origin of the Niortaise opportunity for Boutobba which could have been expensive. Replaced by Onana (73rd) who worked to keep the lead.
Igor Ignatenko 5/10
He asks a lot for the ball but he doesn’t often make good use of it. His athletic impact counts in midfield but he lost a lot of balls in the short or long game (two knockdowns directly into touch). In the second half, he projected himself into the opposing area, helping to move the Niortais block. And he too shows a good state of mind, valiant until the end of the match.
Fransergio 5/10
It is less radiated than in Rodez. He quickly placed himself as a second striker alongside Maja like last week, a position where he still lacks liveliness like on Bakwa’s opening just before the opener. A vision of the game and a technical quality above the lot as on this “hidden” pass for Delaurier (36th). Replaced by Sissokho (89th).
Dilane Bakwa 7/10
Unlike last week, he didn’t score but he was still one of the best Bordeaux players, it was from him that the spark most often came, especially when he moved to the left side after a big fifteen minutes. His stroke of the reins, his short dribbling and his speed did a lot of damage to the Niortaise defense. A nice pass not materialized for Fransergio (58th). It shouldn’t be long before he draws the looks of other clubs. Replaced by Hwang (88th)
Josh Maja 5/10
That it is so difficult to “hit” an attacker whose playing radius is often limited to the penalty area is a problem. Maja still lacked speed in his gestures and presence in front of goal, as on a center back from Bakwa that he should have anticipated. He saves his match with a delicious decisive pass in the axis for the goal of Delaurier (60th). Replaced by Elis (73rd) who thought he scored his first but of the season barely entered but signaled offside.
