2:40 p.m. | The nightmare continues on the A7
Already very complicated, the situation is deteriorating on the A7. It now takes more than 4 hours by road to reach Orange from Lyon, so expect a 2.5 hour delay.
In the opposite direction, towards the north, it’s slightly better, it takes 3 hours to go back to Lyon from Orange, ie 1h30 more than in normal times.
1:45 p.m. | Better under Fourvière
The situation improved when passing through the tunnel under Fourvière. If there are still some slowdowns, especially towards Marseille on the M6, it’s much better than a few hours ago.
1:15 p.m. | The traffic jams are getting bigger on the A7
You will have to be patient if you take the A7 this afternoon. At midday, traffic thickens on this axis in both directions.
Count 1h15 late (2h45 journey) to Lyon-Orange. It’s even worse the other way around. It will take you 3h45 to go up from Orange to Lyon, against 1h35 when the traffic is fluid, i.e. 2h10 late.
12:23 p.m. | It’s clogged under Fourvière
At the passage of the tunnel under Fourvière, in both directions of traffic, traffic is dense and has intensified since the end of the morning. In the direction of Marseille, there are 3 to 4 kilometers of slowdowns before the tunnel.
In the other direction, towards Paris, you encounter 2 kilometers of traffic jams.
11:25 a.m. | 4 kilometers of traffic jams on the A43 and on the A7
At the end of the morning, there are 4 kilometers of slow motion either to the east of Lyon, on the A43 motorway or to the south, towards Marseille, on the A7. The traffic jams now go up to Chasse-sur-Rhône on the Autoroute du Soleil.
10:55 a.m. | Accident on the A43
An accident was reported on the A43 motorway towards the Alps, near Saint-Quentin-Fallavier in Isère. Two light vehicles are involved and the left lane is neutralized. The slowdowns on this motorway now go back to Saint-Laurent-de-Mure.
10:45 a.m. | No more trains between Saint-Etienne and Lyon
Train traffic is interrupted this Saturday morning between Lyon Part-Dieu and Saint-Etienne due to a breakdown of a work train on the line. For the time being, the resumption of traffic is scheduled for Sunday morning at 6 a.m.
10:15 a.m. | It also blocks on the A43
It was expected from 10 a.m. according to Bison Futé. After the first slowdowns on the A7 motorway, things are now stuck on the A43, to the east of the agglomeration and towards the Alps. Just after Villefontaine traffic is difficult with already 2 kilometers of traffic jams.
10am | 27 kilometers of slowdowns on the A7
South of Lyon, towards Marseille, there are now 27 kilometers of slowdowns after passing Vienne. Be careful if you have to drive in this area.
9:10 a.m. | Traffic still difficult on the A7
Traffic is always complicated on the A7 motorway towards Marseille. After the Ternay knot, slowdowns are still present. An accident took place further south, after Vienna, which does not help the situation.
Bison Futé also recommends motorists heading towards Marseille to avoid the A7 sector between Vienne and Valence.
8:30 am | First difficulties of the day south of Lyon
While this Saturday promises to be once again difficult on the roads in the Rhône and around the Lyon area, the first difficulties of the morning are felt on the A7 motorway, towards Marseille and south of Lyons. After passing the Ternay knot, just after Vienne, the first slowdowns are present.
