Fires all over the province of Luxembourg
Saturday morning, the provincial fire departments intervened on numerous occasions for grass and brush fires in the four corners of the territory. Around 10 a.m., firefighters intervened along the E25 motorway at the entrance to Bastogne for a corner of grass on fire. At the end of the morning, the fire broke out at a pile of wooden poles near Fays-les-Veneurs, along the rue de Féniselle towards Nollevaux. The firefighters of Paliseul and Bouillon intervened on the spot around 11:39.
A few minutes later, at 11.45 a.m., it was in Libramont that the Libramont and Cestrol firefighters intervened for a grass fire along the rue d’Ochamps. New fire around 12:50 p.m., near the Tomb of the Giants near Bouillon. The fire broke out on very steep terrain, rue du Moulin du Rivage, near the Rocher des Gattes. The configuration of the places, very difficult to access, required the intervention of the GRIMP (Group for Reconnaissance and Intervention in Dangerous Environments). Firefighters from Paliseul and Bouillon intervened on the spot, with reinforcements from Vresse-sur-Semois.
