Andrea Bocelli returns to Portugal after having sold out the City of Coimbra – Coimbra News
Italian tenor and composer Andrea Bocelli will perform at the Altice Arena in Lisbon on June 30 and July 1, 2023, in two “unprecedented” concerts, in which he will be accompanied by an orchestra and a choir.
“After having sold out the Altice Arena in 2017, the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra in 2021, at the first post-pandemic concert held in Portugal in a stadium, Andrea Bocelli returns to contact with the Portuguese public and promises a special night full of strong emotions , on a sublime journey to the sound of their world-renowned hits”, reads a statement released today.
According to the event’s memoir, Memories of Tomorrow (MOT), the will also take the stage with an orchestra of distinguished musicians” and with a choir “composed of posting of voice musicians”.
Andrea Bocelli is one of the most renowned musicians of all time.
The Italian has already acted in major international events, such as the ceremonies of the Tour of the Olympic Football Games, in 2006, in 2006, which took place in several cities on the continent.
The tenor holds a Golden Globe, seven Classical BRIT and seven World Music Awards, as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Andrea Bocelli thus returns to Portugal after playing at Estádio Cidade de Coimbra on June 25 and 26, 2021, after having sold out the Altice Arena in Lisbon in 2017.
The Italian tenor’s performance in Coimbra was scheduled for 2020, but the concert was postponed to June last year due to the covid-19 pandemic.
