Prague – Anenský triangle: There will be no square yet
The municipality recently completed the repair of the part of the Smetana embankment, which it left as new paved, widened sidewalks, planted new trees, created a cycle lane and in Karlovy Lázně there was a new stop in the direction of the Old Town.
“The space of the Anen triangle was modified in this stage of the project in connection with the revitalization of the Smetana embankment and the location of a new tram stop. People from the neighborhood will be able to use the modified Anen triangle in this way until the final version of the promised project is completed after the maple tree has died,” said Pekařová.
Delay
The original project was temporarily postponed by the management of the municipal district. A few years ago, according to the public procurement gazette, the companies OHL ŽS and Inpros Praha won the contract for modifications with a price of about 21 million crowns without VAT. According to a recent statement by the mayor, the leadership of Petr Hejma (STAN) talked about increasing the price by about seven million CZK, which the town hall considers uneconomical.
Therefore, at the beginning of July this year, the councilors of the city districts approved the termination of the contract. According to the town hall, in addition to the money already paid, I will pay almost 800,000 crowns without VAT for the liquidation of the construction site and operating costs for this year.
