BLACK SWAN
BLACKSWAN is without a doubt one of the most unique K-pop groups of the moment. The group currently consists of only four members, none of which are intentional. At the group’s debut in 2020, BLACKSWAN consisted of five members: the Korean Hyeme, Youngheun and Judy, the Brazilian-Japanese Leia and the Senegalese-Belgian Fatou. As Hyeme’s contract came to an end later that year and she also ran into controversy shortly before, she joined the group in November.
Then BLACKSWAN was with four for a while. In that period the group achieved its greatest successes with the hit Close to me. This year there will again be some changes in the line-up. On May 26, 2022, two new members were added: the Indian Sriya and the Brazilian-German Gabi. On July 31, 2022, the last two South Korean members, Youngheun and Judy, left the group. As a result, BLACKSWAN is now four again, including none of the South Korean projects. The four members still train horses in South Korea and speak and sing Korean. Seen as a K-pop group. Next week, on Friday 19 August, the first solo album by Fatou, the Senegalese-Belgian member of the group, will be released.
