AS Monaco have finally found Tchouameni’s successor
At the beginning of the summer, Real Madrid hit very hard by offering Aurélien Tchouameni for 80 million euros (plus 20 million bonuses). A big loss for AS Monaco but a very important inflow of money which should have allowed the Principality club to invest quietly in a midfielder capable of replacing the French international. However, no midfielder has arrived since.
The Monegasque supporters therefore began to get impatient and even to worry about the passivity of Monaco in this quest for a midfielder. Result, the training trained by Philippe Clément led the season without a replacement for Tchouameni and the impact on the sportsman was immediately felt. The Monegasques were knocked out of the Champions League race by PSV Eindhoven. But yet, Monaco had tried since the beginning of the summer to find a replacement for the player trained in Bordeaux.
The two clubs are close to an agreement
The leaders of the Rock first thought of Boubakary Soumaré from Leicester then Zambo Anguissa from Napoli. Without success. But this time, it seems that Monaco is on target. According to information from The Team, AS Monaco is very close to offering the services of the very promising Salzburg midfielder Mohamed Camara. The young 21-year-old Malian international should, unless the situation turns around, sign up for a 5-year contract in the coming days.
Considered one of the great potentials of the Austrian formation, Mohamed Camara will have the heavy task of compensating for the departure of Tchouameni to Real Madrid. Salzburg and Monaco are not very far from an agreement for this transfer. The amount of this transaction has not been filtered but Camara is valued at 27 million euros according to the Transfermarkt site.
