A teenager saved from drowning at the Eugène-Maës nautical stadium in Caen
A 17-year-old young man found himself in difficulty in the 25 m covered pool of the Eugène-Maës nautical stadium, in Caen (Calvados), this Friday August 12, 2022, around 5.45 p.m. He was rescued by a lifeguard and a doctor, who then turned out to be in the pool. Conscious, he was transported to the University Hospital of Caen by the firefighters.

It was around 5:45 p.m. on Friday August 12, 2022, when a 17-year-old young man found himself in difficulty in the 25 m covered pool of the Eugène-Maës nautical stadium, in Caen (Calvados). A lifeguard immediately jumped into the water to help him. He was unconscious when he was pulled from the water, according to Aristide Olivier, deputy mayor of Caen.
