Debrecen – MÁV-START ordered 375 new ticket machines, more than 80 percent of them, 324 units, are already in operation. Passengers can already use these at suburban line crossings, but they can also buy their tickets from several machines at railway stations in county seats and cities with higher traffic. The development is making it easier and faster to buy tickets and passes in more and more places.
Mass installation of the new ticket machines began last fall. Of the 375 new ticket vending machines ordered, 275 can accept card and cash payments, while 100 can only accept bank card payments. Of these, 324 have already been installed, and the installation of another 56 machines is expected to be completed by the end of the year. From a total of nearly 500 machines across the country, millions of passengers can get their tickets every year, even more convenient than before, and their passes also include train and bus offers.
