Suspected of beating his dog with an axe, a man found dead in Toulouse
Saturday August 6, 2022, in the early morning in Toulouse, a dog was violently beaten with an ax by her master. The latter was found dead at his home by the gendarmes and the firefighters, Wednesday August 10, reveals The Midi Dispatch.
The man who, according to our colleagues, had several times intended to “get rid” of his dog, went after the animal, in a wood in the Pouvourville district. Left for dead, the mastiff, crossed boxer and staff, managed to take refuge with a resident, who took him to the veterinarian.
The man would have killed himself
Victim of serious injuries to the skull, the dog was tested and survived. After the facts, an investigation was opened and the master was arrested and taken to the psychiatric emergency room, before being allowed to return home.
Aged 46, the suspect was to present himself, Wednesday August 10, to the gendarmerie of Castanet-Tolosan. The man did not respond to his summons, the police went to his home. But the forties not responding to calls, they had to call the firefighters to enter the accommodation.
This is where the dog’s owner was found dead. An inquest has been opened to determine the cause of death.
