The Tyrolean district and district electoral authorities have approved all the proposals of the nine groups of voters taking part. Seven lists compete nationwide. Two lists are only up for election in individual districts.
With the ÖVP, SPÖ, FPÖ, Greens, List Fritz and NEOS as well as the MFG, which is not represented in the state parliament, seven of the nine lists are running nationwide. The election proposals of the KPÖ and the group “join in – the list for everyone else” were also admitted and approved. The KPÖ is running in Innsbruck and Innsbruck-Land in eighth place on the list. The group “join in – the list for everyone else” comes in ninth place in Innsbruck-Land.
The MFG can be found in all districts behind the parties represented in the state parliament in seventh place on the list. Now the parties still have to clear a “deadline hurdle”: The state election proposals must be submitted to the state returning officer by August 18.
Proposed candidates were checked
During the examination on Thursday, among other things, it was checked whether sufficient declarations of support had been submitted, whether the proposed candidates were eligible and whether their declarations of consent were available, the state informed. In addition, it was checked whether there are election candidates who appear on election proposals.
The meeting of the state electoral authority on Wednesday was awaited with some excitement, as the burning “MATTLE” question had to be clarified. Then the authorities came to the conclusion that the Tyrolean ÖVP, who is abbreviated to “MATTLE”, the surname of their top candidate Anton Mattle, can take first place on the ballot papers – more on this in the state electoral authority ranks MATTLE in first place.
