Knights Kladno – HC Sparta Prague 2:4, Sparta won in preparation over Kladno, Karlovy Vary won in Liberec
In Kladno’s duel with Sparta, former Kladno attackers and formerly from the famous Blue Line Otakar Vejvoda Jr. and Pavel Patera faced each other. The 50-year-old Vejvoda returned to Kladno after 26 years spent in Sweden, the same age Patera, former coach of Mladá Boleslav, became the head coach of Sparta.
In the Kladno substitution in Beroun, alongside Vejvoda, Jiří Burgr and Miroslav Mach, this time, unlike Tuesday’s opening test in Příbram against Český Budějovice (7:2), the playing owner Jaromír Jágr, who is scheduled to participate in the game later, was absent.
Sparta started without a number of supports and included several juniors or players from partner first league team Sokolov, including 19-year-old forward Petr Ton Jr. The son of former elite gunner and current sports manager Petr Ton coincidentally worked in the Swedish under-18 team in Lidingö pod Vejvodou throughout 2019/20.
Miroslav Indrák scored both goals for the Knights, Andrej Fábry, David Dvořáček, Martin Jandus and Miroslav Jandus scored for Sparta.
The victory of Vítkovice over Olomouc, which proceeded to the first match test, was arranged by Rostislav Marosz in a shootout. David Kofroň, Tomáš Havlín and Martin Kohout took care of the goals for Karlovy Vary in Liberec. The only goal of the White Tigers during their first training session was scored by the new captain Michal Bulíř, who took over from Petr Jelínek.
After Tuesday’s loss in the first training session in Vítkovice, Třinec succeeded 1:2 in overtime on the ice of fellow first league team Frýdek-Místek, Slovakian forward Marko Daňo defended against this with two goals. Plzeň succeeded in the opening test against Šumperk thanks to two goals from Martin Lang.
Mladá Boleslav played in the pre-season for the first time, and Robin Všetečka decided Slavia’s loss in the 58th minute. During Třebíč’s victory in České Budějovice, defender Lukáš Forman signed with a goal and an assist. After a draw with Zlín without extra time, Kometa immediately made raids, in which Adam Zbořil decided.
