Slovenian cyclist Domen Novak is the latest new rider of the UAE Emirates team for 2023.
The 27-year-old from Dolenje vas moves from Bahrain Victorious and joins Tim Wellens and Felix Grosschartner as new additions to the Emirates squad.
Novak is a former Slovenian champion in the road race, and his future was helped by a strong ride at the Race of Slovenia, where he stood alongside compatriots Tadej Pogačar and Rafal Majka.
“My dream was to ride for the UAE Team Emirates together with a champion like Tadej Pogačar and many other good riders. Now the dream has come true, I am honored and grateful for the trust they have placed in me and I am eager to start the journey,” he said.

“Novak is a rider who has progressed well in his years as a professional and we think he can provide good qualities to the team, especially in the mountains. He has many years behind him at WorldTour level and we believe he can offer a lot to our team in the years to come,” said Mauro Gianetti, team manager and CEO.
