Alentejo in the C and D series of the Portuguese Championship
Five teams from Alentejo will participate, in 2022/23, in the Portuguese Championship. Arronches is part of Serie C, while Lusitano de Évora 1911, Juventude de Évora, Serpa and Vasco da Gama da Vidigueira are part of Serie D. The championship starts on 18 September.
Serie C has the following 14 clubs: Arronches, 1º de Dezembro, Alcains, Benfica de Castelo Branco, Coruchense, Loures, Marihense, Mortágua, Pêro Pinheiro, Rio Maior, Sertanense, Sintrense, União de Santarém and União da Serra. In the first round, Arronches receives Sertanense.
Series D comprises the following 14 clubs: Lusitano de Évora 1911, Juventude de Évora, Serpa, Vasco da Gama da Vidigueira, Angrense (Azores), Atlético, Esperança de Lagos, Fabril do Barreiro, Ferreiras, Immortal de Albufeira, Olhanense , Dragon Oriental, Rabo de Peixe (Azores) and Praiense (Azores). In the first round, the four Alentejo teams face the following challenges: Juventude de Évora – Olhanense, Lusitano de Évora 1911 – Fabril do Barreiro, Serpa – Rabo de Peixe and Immortal de Albufeira – Vasco da Gama da Vidigueira.
The draw for the Portuguese Championship was held at the headquarters of the Portuguese Football Federation, in Cidade do Futebol, in the municipality of Oeiras, on the afternoon of this Thursday, 11 August.
