San Marino. Six titans at the European Swimming and Artistic Swimming Championships in Rome
Swimmers Loris Bianchi, Giacomo Casadei and Alessandro Rebosio left for the capital, together with synchronized Jasmine Verbena and Jasmine Zonzini. Arianna Valloni will join the delegation in the next few days, to participate in the open water races.
The athletes are accompanied by their respective technical directors, Luca Corsetti for swimming and Simona Chiari for the synchro, and by the federal manager Lorenzo Canti. Sports director Bruno Gennari will also join the delegation to attend the pool swimming and artistic swimming competitions, while the federal secretary Alfio Pasolini will follow the open water competitions.
It starts tomorrow, with Rebosio’s 50 butterfly and Casadei’s 100 breaststroke, while Jasmine Verbena will be engaged in the free solo. Friday will be the turn of the free duo Verbena – Zonzini (eventual final scheduled on Saturday) and of the only technician, again with Verbena.
Saturday is the day of 100 butterflies for Rebosio and 200 frogs for Casadei. The eventual final of the free solo is scheduled for Sunday and Arianna Valloni will face the 1500 freestyle, the only competition in the pool.
On Monday, August 15th, Casadei will be involved in the 50 breaststroke and Rebosio in the 200 butterfly, while the synchronette will face the technical program of the duo. Loris Bianchi will make his debut on Wednesday 17 August in the 400 freestyle and, the following day, the Valloni will be involved in the 10 km open water, with the half distance scheduled for 19 August.
