Romania donated over one million potassium iodide pills to the Republic of Moldova
Romania donated over one million potassium iodide pills to the Republic of Moldova, RFI Romania reports. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Health in Chisinau, which states, at the same time, that there is currently no radiological danger and urged the population to remain calm.
“Health insurance of the reservation of potassium iodide in the country. Following the discussions held by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Moldova, Ala Nemerenco, with his counterpart from Romania, Alexandru Rafila, the neighboring state donated over one million potassium iodide pills to our country”, claims the Ministry of Health from Chisinau.
The tablets are distributed by the National Agency for Public Health to its subdivisions (public health centers), which will distribute them to the health centers, at the direction of the Commission for Extraordinary Situations of the Republic of Moldova. Likewise, the ANSP developed an instruction regarding the administration of the drug.
“We inform you that there is currently no radiological danger. We urge the population to remain calm,” state the health regulations.
How the “communicator” Alexandru Rafila managed to hysterize an entire country when he invented a non-existent emergency regarding the distribution of iodine pills: panicked citizens and disorganized family doctors.
