The National Union of Civil Aviation Workers (SINTAC) advanced this Wednesday with a strike notice, which covers Portway workers at Lisbon Porto, Faro and Funchal airports, for August 26, 27 and 28.
At stake is the HR policy [recursos humanos] taken over in recent years by Portway, a comparison and evaluation company by the VINCI Group, of confrontation and evaluation of workers through successive breaches of the Company Agreement, disciplinary confrontation, absence of updates, misrepresentation of performance estimates that prevent salary progressions and bad faith”, indicated the union.
The notice provided for the general stoppage of workers from the ground handling company, at the airports of Lisbon, Porto, Faro and Funchal, with start at 00:00 on the 26th of August and end at 24:00 on the 28th of August.
SINTAC also accuses the company of promote a “climate of psychological terror”where threats and disciplinary proceedings proliferate, creating social instability unmatched in the history of the company”.
Thus, workers claim compliance with the 2016 Company Agreement which does not serve and does not serve to avoid a progress assessment.
According to the union, “the company persists that the career estimates in 2020 remain valid, with a consequence of its sequence of 90% of workers”.
SINTAC also claims 100% payment of holidays to all workers and immediate salary updates, taking inflation into account.
