Nakache municipal swimming pool reopens after positive water tests
The largest municipal swimming pool in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) reopened its doors on Wednesday August 10 in the morning. In the middle of a heat wave, the installation had to close due to the appearance of algae in the water.
The first swimmers wasted no time in jumping into the cool water of the municipal swimming pool Nakache From toulouse (Upper Garonne). After more than 24 hours of closure, the installation was able to reopen its doors on Wednesday August 10. Excellent news as a new heat wave is setting up again in France.
The swimming pool on the island of Ramier had been forced to close on Monday August 8, due to poor results of analyzes carried out on its waters. A filtration and chlorine problem associated with high temperatures had favored the appearance of algae causing cloudy water. Difficulties, they seem, solved since the town hall specifies that the last analyzes prove to be good. The swimming pool can therefore reopen to the delight of the 3,000 to 4,000 daily visitors.
This rapid response from the town hall should make it possible to put an end to the nascent controversy induced by the municipal opposition, denouncing the management of swimming pools in the middle of summer, and to prevent the municipality from “drinking the cup” in a file where the pink city already lacks pools to cool off in the heat wave.
Opening hours until 21/08
Monday to Sunday: 9:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. – exceptional opening until 9 p.m. from August 3 to 14 due to the high temperatures.
