“Volta a Portugal” conditions traffic this Tuesday in Viseu. Know the restrictions
The 15th stage of the Vuelta a Portugal em Bicicleta will affect traffic this Tuesday in the area of Viseu, this being the third consecutive day (and last) of traffic jams.
In note posted on your websitethe Viseu City Council informs that “the 15th stage of the Tour implies the conditioning of traffic” at 6 pm on Tuesday, August 9th, with the constraints starting on Sunday 7th.
Specifically, today, according to the municipality, the “traffic cut of the accesses to Avenida da Europa, at 9:30 am, and during the period of departure of the participants and the estimated arrival period between 13 and 14 ”.
“The passage of the 15th Stage of the Volta, through the various locations, will not cause permanent or long-term traffic cuts in the Parishes of Abraveses, Bodiosa, Lordosa, Ribafeita, Calde, Côta and in the Union of Parishes of Barreiros and Cepãos”, he adds. .
Not yet today, like on Sunday, “Santo Estêvão, and the section leaving the roundabout, will work, thus allowing access and exits from Santo Estêvão”.
“These traffic cuts cause implications for the circulation of the MUV lines”, and on this day, “lines C1, C2 and line 19 are still diverted by Av. Captain Homem Ribeiro and Avenida da Belgium until 7 pm”.
The City Council also adds that “access to and exit from the parking area for public transport vehicles (…) must be shown through Rua de Santo Estêvão and Rua São Vicente de Paulo, during the traffic conditioning period”.
“In order to minimize local commands, the coordination of the exit of the traffic direction and/or the alternating circulation will be coordinated and operationalized in the field of the PSP and GNR”, concludes the same note.
