The Szoboszlais’ new teammate is coming from Chelsea – it’s official
RB Leipzig has officially confirmed the signing of Chelsea’s German forward, Timo Werner.
The 26-year-old forward moved to England from RB Leipzig for 53 million euros in the summer of 2020, but he scored only 23 times in 89 games for Chelsea.
According to transfermarkt.de, RB Leipzig paid the London club 20 million euros for Werner, who signed a contract until 2026 and chose shirt number 11.
During Timo Werner’s first spell at RB Leipzig, he scored 90 times in 156 appearances.
