The Budapest center of the Ecumenical Aid organization supporting Ukrainian refugees has opened
The Ukrainian refugee support center of the Ecumenical Aid Organization has started its operation in Budapest; the VIII. in a district institution, they provide in-kind donations to the needy, as well as provide informational, legal, integration and spiritual help.
In a statement sent to MTI on Tuesday, the Ecumenical Aid Organization wrote that, in addition to their significant humanitarian role in Ukraine at the international level, they also play an important role in helping refugees in Hungary.
It was announced: the support services established in recent months are now Budapest VIII. in the district, the needy can use a new institution, the Ukrainian refugee support center.
In the center under Baross utca 28, in addition to providing information, the organization’s employees also help refugees temporarily staying in Hungary and intending to settle here with in-kind donations, training, labor market services, legal advice and the organization of community programs.
It was explained: the center supplies the needy with in-kind donations (food, hygiene items, clothes, child care items) and also places an emphasis on integration services for those who want to stay in Hungary.
Access to education and health care, promotion of employment, and adult training in child care and language learning are also provided by the center’s staff. Special attention is paid to the support of unaccompanied minors, the disabled and the elderly.
Community and community-building leisure and attitude-building programs are organized for both adults and children, with an emphasis on talent management and helping social integration, among other things, they wrote.
