The Bilbao Municipal Police is reinforced with 47 internal agents
The Bilbao Municipal Police has incorporated 47 new internal agents, 12 women and 35 menthat have begun to provide service in different neighborhoods of the Biscayan capital as reinforcement for citizen security tasks during the summer.
After receiving training given by the Bilbao Municipal Police itself, the new internal agents started working last week, intended mainly for Neighborhood Inspections (police stations), as reported this Tuesday, August 9, by the City Council.
The agents are carrying out prevention and surveillance tasks, in addition to patrolling in the different neighborhoods of Bilbao. In other cases they have been assigned to the Command and Control Center for the coordination of the different police patrols and services.
The new municipal police officers come from the bag that manages the Security Coordination Directorate of the Basque Government and from which the municipalities of Euskadi are nourished when they need to have effective as internal agents and cover security needs at certain times such as summer periods or while new agents are in training at the Arkaute Academy.
