Russia is already assembling aircraft for parts because of fees. Sukhoi Superjet 100 and Airbus A350 went under the knife
Russian airlines, which are part of Aeroflot, have already begun to dismantle the planes in order to obtain the necessary spare parts, which they can no longer buy abroad due to Western volumes. About it writes Reuters, citing four sources in the industry.
These moves led to advice that allowed some aircraft to be used for spare parts, the remaining foreign-made aircraft could last until at least 2025.
Aviation warning experts that the Russian airline will most likely start collecting data on its aircraft to keep them airworthy, but have now moved from words to deeds. At least one Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 and Airbus A350 aircraft, both used by Aeroflot, is currently being dismantled, a source familiar with the cases said. At the same time, the Airbus A350 was almost new.
Sukhoi Superjet 100 Russia is also heavily dependent on the assembly of foreign parts. According to a source, the engine has already been removed from one Sukhoi Superjet 100, another source so that the Superjet can continue flying. As a source of engines, they are often used between aircraft and are usually consumed under contracts.
New generations of aircraft – the A320neo, A350, Boeing 737 MAX and 787 – are equipped with technologies that need to be constantly updated. According to forecasts from Western sources, within a year after the natural conditions due to the current situation in the aviation industry will be expected even for Russia’s highly developed and reliable engineering base.
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and Aeroflot did not respond to Reuters inquiries about the injuries.
