Dynamo head coach Jokanovic said he was going to learn Russian
– Your compatriot Marko Nikolic, who worked at Lokomotiv, learned Russian very quickly. Can we expect your interview in English?
— Of course, I plan to speak English, but don’t pressure me. I know three languages, there are those in the game who translate into Spanish, with others I speak English. I have already used certain Russian words. Now I have the opportunity to learn your language, I need it for easier communication with people at work and in life. I watch TV, but it is important for me to understand what they say there. There is a teacher, I have already taken the first lessons. I hope he turned out to be a good teacher and I was a good student.
If I were 15–20 years old, I would promise you that I would master the language quickly. Here I will do without special deadlines, but the Russian language is definitely needed – this is respect for the Dynamo fans, for journalists. I am a nasty person in everything, I want to learn a fourth language. But let’s not delay, there are other priorities. I am sure that the Dynamo fans will win the match better by leading me speaking brilliant Russian.
To sum it up: learning a language is my responsibility. But specifically, when this will happen – in October, November, December or next year – we will do without promises.
