Chairman grants West Ham plea to exit Forest target in £9.5m deal
Serie A side Salernitana are in the process of agreeing a deal to sign Strasbourg Alsace striker Habib Diallo, against interest from Premier League pair West Ham United and Nottingham Forest.

According foot market, Salernitana are now close to sealing a move to Strasbourg Alsace for Habib Diallo. The Serie A and Ligue 1 sides are in advanced talks over an €11m (£9.5m) package for the Senegal striker, who requested a transfer in the summer.
Racing president Marc Keller has now sanctioned Diallo’s request to leave Stade de la Meinau three years before his contract expires. Strasbourg handed the 14-cap striker a five-year contract when he arrived from FC Metz in 2020, when he cost the club a similar amount. £9 million.
Diallo has proven his worth at Strasbourg over the past two seasons with 22 goals and five assists in 66 appearances in all competitions. He netted 11 of his goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season, plus two assists, en route to sixth place.

Still, Diallo is seemingly set to snub a dream Premier League transfer for a Serie A shot with Salernitana. He has spent his entire senior career so far in Ligue 1, having played for the FC Metz first team between two loan spells with Stade Brestois and joining Strasbourg.
