What you need to know about Bonnefoy station:
Bonnefoy is “an authentic developing suburb”, in the words of Tisséo. But it was also the surprise of the station of the 3e metro line which, originally, was supposed to run straight from Raynal to Matabiau… After a series of studies, it was added to the project due, in particular, to good population density of the Bonnefoy district.
The station will be installed on Place Jean Bories, one of the only real estate companies available along the former national road 88. Currently, the location is a car park in an essentially residential sector, made up of several blocks of buildings and small pavilions.
In terms of town planning, the district presents a commercial center along the rue du Faubourg Bonnefoy, one of the main axes of entry into the city, and this artery is, as a whole, called upon to big changes, the future station being, with Raynal and Matabiau, one of the three that will serve the Grand Matabiau Quai d’Oc urban project. “The planting of trees at the level of this axis will be privileged”, announces the community, which provides “a reorganization of the parking lot concomitant with the project”.

This area is currently served by two bus lines, including Lineo 9 from L’Union and bound for the city centre. Due to the arrival of the metro station at Bonnefoy, the development of Place Boriès will be redesigned, “in order to offer a better distribution of spaces, in favor of active modes (pedestrians, cycles, etc.), indicates Tisséo, which also intends to make it possible to “perpetuate current uses”, in particular the market.
