Kappa presented the new third jersey, unprecedented since purple, of AS Monaco for the 2022-2023 season.
Something new in Monaco. We are of course not talking here about the transfer window but about the jersey, since Kappa, equipment supplier of the princely club since 2019, i.e. for the fourth year in a row, has just presented the new third tunic that Philippe Clément’s men will wear throughout the season. 2022-2023.
This is a small revolution in the history of ASM outfits, this new kit being a dominant purple, a first for residents of the Louis II stadium. A choice that contrasts with the classic home jersey, just like the away tunic for this new sporting year.
An elegant design
For this great premiere of purple in Monaco, Kappa has designed a jersey that is both sleek and modern, even “futuristic”, as explained in the joint press release of the two entities. All for a very classy visual rendering, integrated, on a diagonal part of the front face, a tone-on-tone pattern. An important detail since these motifs represent the diamonds of the coat of arms of the Principality.
The AS Monaco crest is depicted in monochrome white to stand out on this third kit, as is the logo of Kappa and the Rock club’s main shirt sponsor, eToro. At the level of the two shoulders, we find the logo of the Italian equipment manufacturer, in black this time.
Great first against Lens
The sleeves are they of solid color, in purple. The same goes for the back part of this jersey, while we find a darker touch in the edges on the end of the cuffs, but also at the bottom, on the fabric, to mark the end of the outfit.
This new third jersey, obviously equipped with Kombat Pro System technology and therefore resistant, elastic and breathable, will be worn by Wissam Ben Yedder, Breel Embolo, Sofiane Diop or even Axel Disasi for the first time when receiving RC Lens, the August 20th (3rd day of Ligue 1).
