It is in particular on these issues that a series of meetings have been held in recent days by the management of the Institute for Social Security, between the executive general committee, the general practitioners, the hospital and local operating units and the nursing coordinators. . In the first meeting, the director general of the ISS, Francesco Bevere, took stock of the Territorial operations centerstarting from an analysis of the management to almost 3 months of the start, loading Nelson Lazzari which referentwho will work in coordination with the director of the Primary Care Uoc and with the Iss health director, implementing and improving the operational management of the Cot.
With the directors of the nursing units and with the coordinators, some of the innovations that will already be active were subsequently illustrated from the end of summerin particular thelaunch of the telemedicine projectwhich will take place through a platform that integrates the information systems already used and active at the ISS with the electronic health record.
A project that provides for the possibility of teleconsultation, teletorage and teleassistance, therefore less travel for the, ease of connection, fewer patients for families and at the same time reduced times for the execution of the services and a better ease of multidisciplinary consultations between professionals.
Finally, the projects already started relating to pathological anatomy, the Center for myopia and the increase in technological equipment in the field of breast cancer therapy were also illustrated.
“I wanted to hold these meetings – explains the director general of the ISS, Francesco Bevere – as already done on other occasions, with the aim of fully involving staff at all levels, informing them directly about all projects already concluded and started and which will lead to an overall improvement in the quality and humanization of care from a clinical governance perspective assistance. The first interventions will concern the second phase of implementation of the Territorial Operations Center and Telemedicine, the necessary instrumentation of which is already partly supplied to the ISS. These are objectives contained in the report presented to the Health Commission at the beginning of the mandate. The activities are taking place in the perspective illustrated in the document also with regard to the technological and structural innovation of the Institute for Social Security ”.
