Gusts and thunderstorms
In addition to these scorching temperatures, there will be conditions particularly conducive to fires. The wind will blow strong, with gusts of 50-60 km/h over Brittany and Normandy.
Also watch out for thunderstorms, which will break out in the south of Corsica and on the Pyrenean massif as well as the Alps. During the night, still very hot temperatures are expected, in particular 26°C in Nice, 24 in Bordeaux or 25 in Perpignan.
The country’s fourth heat wave promises to be longer than last week’s episode. High temperatures will be in place until at least Friday, before thunderstorms break out over the weekend.
