With Aviationfly, the largest flight school in Switzerland is expanding the reach of international prospective pilots
Founded in 1985, Aero Locarno is a Swiss recognized training organization (ATO) based on the southern side of the Swiss Alps. The management team has a clear mission and vision for its airline training program focused training organization which includes training infrastructure such as Sonaca 200, Diamond DA40 and Diamond DA42 aircraft and an MPS Boeing B737NG simulator;
Mission – To provide ATPL ab initio training grounded from the start on competency already widely used in the airline environment. To achieve this, Aero Locarno:
- Teaches solid Airline SOPs and Flows at any training level
- Conducts IFR training as line flying under supervision throughout Europe and conducts real route sections with “Pilot Flying” and “Pilot
- “Observation” tasks, whereby commercial pilots are used exclusively as IFR instructors on board the latest generation of training aircraft
Vision – To become a key ATO when it comes to commercial pilot training, with a focus on training a limited, pre-selected number of cadets, up to 80 students/year.
During the pandemic, Aer Locarno has continued to grow and has announced;
