the typical team of the 1st day of Ligue 1!
We were all waiting for it impatiently and Ligue 1 finally resumed its rights this weekend. And let it be said: we were not disappointed by this first day of L1 with a total of 34 goals scored, and (already) a lot of spectacle.
The opportunity for writing Young Footballers to offer you the typical team for this first day of Ligue 1 where PSG, OM, RC Lens, AS Monaco, FC Lorient and MHSC have all been in the spotlight!
Goalkeeper: Yvon Mvogo (FC Lorient)
Recently recruited by FC Lorient during this summer transfer window, Yvan Mvogo will have had an impressive match for his first with Les Merlus, keeping his clean sheet in Rennes!
What better way to start than an XXL performance in a victorious derby at Roazhon Park against neighboring Stade Rennais for the 28-year-old Swiss international goalkeeper?
Right defender: Akim Zedadka (LOSC)
Successful debut in his new colors for Akim Zedadka, who arrived in Lille on a free transfer this summer from Clermont Foot 63.
Very interesting in his attacking corridors but also in his high pressing against AJ Auxerre, the Algerian international right-back will have delivered a more than interesting copy with LOSC, in front of the public at Stade Pierre-Mauroy de Villeneuve d’ Ascq, rewarded with a very nice but.
Zeki Celik (transferred to AS Roma during this summer transfer window) will he be quickly forgotten in the heads of many Lille fans with the excellent Aki Zedadka?
Left defender: Nuno Tavares (OM)
Again, a successful first for Nuno Tavares with Olympique de Marseille. Very diligent defensively and interesting offensively, the young Portuguese left-back will even have had the luxury of scoring a very nice goal in his new garden at the Orange Vélodrome.
A full match from Nuno Tavares with OM, which made short work of Stade de Reims. Promising!
Central defender: Axel Disasi (AS Monaco)
Already very much to his advantage and author of the preliminary equalizer during the Champions League round against PSV Eindhoven at the Stade Louis II a few days earlier, Axel Disasi confirmed his excellent start to the season with AS Monaco, during this beautiful victory snatched on the ground of RC Strasbourg (1-2).
Solid defensively, Axel Disasi was even a decisive passer for Krépin Diatta, who scored an incredible goal with AS Monaco at La Meinau on Saturday afternoon!
Central defender: Julien Laporte (FC Lorient)
Real boss of the central hinge of FC Lorient, Julien Laporte, like Yvon Mvogo and most of his teammates, achieved an incredible performance to allow the Merlus to achieve the feat of winning in Rennes during of the Breton derby on this first day of Ligue 1. Bravo!
Central midfielder: Teji Savanier (MHSC – Montpellier HSC)
As usual, Téji Savanier will have delivered a great performance during the beautiful victory of Montpellier HSC against ESTAC – ES Troyes AC, but the midfielder of MHSC will especially have scored a double this Sunday afternoon on the lawn of the La Mosson Stadium. Always on top !
Central midfielder: Remy Cabella (LOSC)
For a player supposedly not yet physically ready, Rémy Cabella will have made a strong impression for his first official match in the Lille jersey. Very diligent, the French international midfielder would have shone with his game intelligence and the accuracy of his passes.
All with two assists on the counter during this beautiful and overwhelming victory for LOSC against AJ Auxerre. In the game plan set up by Paulo Fonseca at the Mastiffs, Rémy Cabella is like a fish in water! Perhaps the big blow of the transfer window of Lille OSC… to be confirmed during the next meetings!
Right winger: Jonathan David (LOSC)
Aligned by Paulo Fonseca in a rather unusual role of right winger, Jonathan David will have finally remained more in the axis in contact with Mohamed Bayo, the striker of LOSC, and it is clear that this idea has proven to be pay off since the Canadian international will have scored twice and delivered a decisive pass for Benjamin André against AJA.
A big game for Jonathan David, who could even have scored a hat-trick with Lille OSC if Benoît Costil had not made the perfect saves on two other attempts by the Lille striker.
Left winger: Neymar (PSG)
And if Neymar had finally found the pleasure of playing football on the PSG side… thanks to Christophe Galtier? Transformed since the recovery, the former Barça superstar had already shone against FC Nantes during the Trophées des Champions, a week earlier, and the latter put a layer on the lawn of the Stade Gabriel-Montpied on Saturday evening with a goal and three assists, including one for Lionel Messi, against Clermont Foot 63!
With a Neymar at this level (and in full possession of his means), Paris SG can dream bigger (it seems…)!
Attacker: Lionel Messi (PSG)
Author of a double, including one but incredible, Lionel Messi will also have made strong impressions with PSG against Clermont Foot 63. Many football specialists were all unanimous at the end of this meeting: we finally found the real Lionel Messi, seven-time winner of the Ballon d’Or! A good omen for the rest of the season at Paris SG, where Kylian Mbappé was still missing…
In total, La Pulga (ex FC Barcelona) will have scored two goals and delivered an assist with PSG during this first day of Ligue 1.
Attacker: Florian Sotoca (RC Lens)
Author of the three Lensois goals, Florian Sotoca could even have scored a quadruple with RC Lens if he had not missed his penalty against Stade Brestois this Sunday (or rather if his penalty could have been withdrawn… but that, that’s another discussion!).
Regardless, Racing Club de Lens will have trembled until the end but will have finally won a nice and precious success against Brest on their lawn at Stade Bollaert, and Florian Sotoca will have had a lot to do with his magnificent hat-trick!
For all those who already saw Adam Buksa coming soon quietly to steal the place of the native of Narbonne at the forefront of the Sang et Or attack, alongside Loïs Openda, the task does not look easy for the Pole since ”It will be complicated to come and shake up the excellent Florian Sotoca, who once again showed a lot of courage and mobility in his game apart from his hat-trick this Sunday.
Whatever happens, it will only be happiness for Franck Haise, who should not be short of solutions at the offensive level this season on the side of RC Lens!
