Russian airlines, including Aeroflot Dedicated Collection (AFLT), are collecting airliners to use spare parts they can no longer buy abroad due to Western collections, Reuters collects four sources in the industry.
The moves include advice that allowed the Russian government to use some aircraft for refurbishment so that the rest of the foreign-made aircraft can last until at least 2025.
The sanctions imposed on Russia do not pose an undue risk of getting parts or maintenance in the West.
Aviation experts say Russia will likely start assembling parts for its aircraft to limit their airworthiness, but these are the first examples.
At least one Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 and Airbus A350 aircraft, both used by Aeroflot, are currently stopped and collected, a source familiar with the circumstances said.
Source returned due to the sensitivity of the matter.
According to almost the source, the Airbus A350 is new.
Most of the Russian air fleet consists of Western passenger aircraft.
According to the source, the equipment was taken from a pair of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft of Aeroflot, as the carrier needs spare parts from models for its other Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
Sukhoi Superjets Russian assembly is also strongly resisting foreign parts. With one engine, the Superjet has already been de-engined to get close to the other Superjet to continue flying, according to the first source.
Engines are frequently swapped between aircraft and are usually contracted, according to industry experts. They do not consider the main airframe.
According to a source in the Western aviation industry, the deaths of Russian-based aircraft are “only dependent on time.”
New generations of aircraft – the A320neo, A350, Boeing 737 MAX and 787 – are equipped with technologies that need to be constantly updated.
According to forecasts from Western sources, within a year after the natural conditions due to the current situation in the aviation industry will be expected even for Russia’s highly developed and reliable engineering base.
The practice of retrieving copies to send a shipment has become widespread. While this is a relatively rare occurrence, it is often associated with historical difficulties and has never reached such proportions.
The jetliners can be put back into service provided that the seized parts are returned, although this will not necessarily restore the traceability appropriate for the occurrence of an outbreak on world markets.
Many parts have a limited service life that must be registered.
Almost 80% of the Aeroflot fleet seems to be Boeing and Airbus.
According to Reuters estimates, based on Flightradar24 data, about 50 Aeroflot planes, or 15% of its fleet, including aircraft under arrest, have not taken off since the end of July.
According to Flightradar24, three of the seven Airbus A350s used by Aeroflot, including one currently on spare parts, have not taken off for about three months.
According to a second industry source, Russian carriers fly fewer routes due to the western regions, meaning there are unused aircraft that could be scrapped.
“Western manufacturers of enterprises that almost all Superjets are used in Russia,” said Oleg Panteleev, head of the Aviaport flight analytical center. “You can just stop producing and supplying spare parts – it will be painful for Russia.”
Evaluation results that Aeroflot, once among the predicted events but now presumably relying on the government probability, experienced a 22% drop in probability in the second quarter of this year compared to last year after the consequences did not affect the lethal the outcome of most Western crazes.
According to reports, samples from countries that have not entered against Russia are unlikely to help, as companies from Asia and the Middle East fear the risk of secondary attacks against them from Western governments.
“Each part has its own (unique) number, and if Russian transportation is indicated in the documents by the end buyer, then no one agrees to the delivery, neither China nor Dubai,” said the first source, researched that all details should be brought to the attention . Boeing and Airbus before they are taken over.
