New LOCAL elections in three localities in the Republic of Moldova. The CEC announced the start of the electoral period for the program poll on October 16
The citizens of three localities in the Republic of Moldova will elect the mayor on October 16 this year, as part of the new local elections. In this sense, the Central Electoral Commission announced today about the start of the electoral period.
The main actions during the electoral period consist of the framework and organization of the activity of lower electoral bodies, the registration of initiative groups and candidates for the position of mayor, the establishment and organization of polling stations, the updating and publication of electoral lists, informing voters and training electoral officials, monitoring elections and their coverage in the mass media, the organization of the voting and the totalization of the voting results.
According to the data from the State Register of Voters, in total, 6,005 voters are expected at the polls: in the village of Sălcuta, Căuşeni district – 3,717 people; in Ialpujeni commune, Cimișlia district – 1,278 people and in Braniște commune, Rîscani district – 1,010 people.
The electoral period will end with the confirmation of the election results and the validation of the mayoral mandates.
