Toulouse: Paula and Pauline have THE solution to equip your home at a low price
Bobby, a young company from Toulouse in the social and solidarity economy, is working to give furniture a second life.
Sofas, mattresses, bedside tables, shelves, tables, lamps, armchairs, desks… you can really find everything he does to furnish his apartment, in Bobby’s warehouse, in Saint-Orens, on the outskirts of Toulouse. “All these objects are second-hand,” announces Pauline Noëll, co-founder of Bobby, with Paula Guillot-Seguier. And, all of them are available on their online store: bobby-france.fr
The two childhood friends, from the Tarn, who wear a “Save the furniture” t-shirt, launched this project one last, “to act in our own way in favor of the environment. At first, we only translated for the students. Today, our online store is open to everyone, although students remain our preferred target. But we wanted to be able to equip people all year round and democratize access to second-hand goods,” says Pauline Noëll.
This access to all also allows the young company from Toulouse in the social and solidarity economy, “to not have a seasonal activity, dependent on the installation of students”.
Through Bobby, Paula and Pauline want to save furniture from the dump. “We realized that many of them were still in good condition. Sometimes you just have to drive in two nails and they’ll be in circulation again,” says Paula.
Collection of furniture from individuals
Thanks to second-hand furniture, you can equip an apartment for 400€. For those who do not have means of transport, Bobby also ensures the delivery of the furniture, “by taking a percentage of the order”.
While at the moment, many pieces of furniture litter the sidewalks of Toulouse, abandoned by their owners during the move, Bobby offers to avoid this thanks to his home collection service. “It’s free,” continues Pauline Noëll. “Our goal would be to reach people before they throw their furniture on the street,” adds Paula.
Together with Bobby, Paula and Pauline implemented the solution they would have liked when they were still students. “Personally, we no longer buy new. For it ; we are turning to solutions that make it possible to find reconditioned objects,” they conclude.
In addition to the furniture offered on the Bobby site, a recent partnership with the Envie Network makes it possible to find household appliances, refurbished and guaranteed, and also at a low price!
