Toulouse: an owner attacks his dog with an ax and makes her experience horror
The owner of the dog Liam dragged her into a wood in Haute-Garonne and fought hard with an axe. He left the animal for dead.
She suffered a real ordeal with her master. Liam, a mastiff, cross boxer and staff, escaped death this Saturday morning, around 6 a.m., near Pouvourville, a district in eastern Toulouse. In a great state of excitement, the owner of the animal told anyone who would listen that he wanted to “get rid” of his dog.
Saturday, he took action, very violently. In the early morning, he took her into the woods. Armed with an axe, he struck her at the level of the skull and the museum several times and left her for dead before leaving.
But Liam’s instinct for survival allowed her, despite her serious injuries, to take refuge in a nearby barn where she was picked up and taken to a veterinarian.
A worrying diagnosis
The latter delivered a worrying diagnosis. The dog had broken skull bones and sinuses. She had several entrails on her body. Between life and death, Liam was soon realized. With success.
The association Les 4 pattounes, through its president, Céline Gardel, filed a complaint “for acts of abuse and cruelty” towards an animal.
The owner faces three years in prison and a fine of €45,000.
The association, supported by “A future for them” and “Donne la patte”, demands the confiscation of the animal. An online kitty has been opened to help cover Liam’s care.
For his part, the perpetrator of the violence was admitted to the psychiatric emergency room. The gendarmes of Castanet are in charge of the file.
