There were problems again on the Ostrava-Prague line, trains were up to 150 minutes late
The backbone railway line from Prague to Ostrava stopped again on Sunday evening, and again between Brandýs and Ústí nad Orlicí. Just like yesterday morning. This time the reason was damage to the collector. Trains were up to 150 minutes late, such as the pendolino from Ostrava to Prague. Traffic was restored before nine o’clock.

Trains stopped for six hours due to a traction fault at Brandýs even on Saturday morning (from the morning until approximately one hour after noon). Even after the repair, train delays were not significantly reduced for a long time. An alternative bus service had to be introduced in the section for passengers.
Yesterday, a freight train collided with a fallen catenary line near Brandýs nad Orlicí. Then at night (also in Brandýs) a working railway vehicle derailed on a switch.
Traction repair at Brandýs is complete, but trains are still late. Up to three hours
Traction line faults at Brandýs nad Orlicí have been frequent recently. They complicated traffic twice in July alone. The section between Ústí nad Orlicí and Brandýs has been undergoing extensive reconstruction since last year.
